The time has come to renovate our laundry room. Out with the old and in with the new!
When we moved into our house, we always wanted to update our laundry room. The floors were “luxury” sticker tiles, the paint needed a fresh coat and the white wire shelving had to go!
After getting all of stuff out of the room, we started with painting the walls and hanging cabinets.
Once the painting was done, the hard part was yet to come. We needed to pull the old flooring out as we needed to prep the space for the new tile flooring that we picked out.
At first we thought pulling the old flooring out would be simple, but come to find out, there were multiple layers of flooring that needed to come up so that we could expose the sub flooring.
After struggling with the demo for a few hours, the old flooring was out! Time to lay the backerboard and start to lay the tile.
Flooring was laid, the next day we grouted and started the finish work.
New baseboards went in and we had a completely new laundry room! Time for the next project!
